New Yorks University Club epitomizes old-guard elegance. With its herringbone oak floors, dark paneled walls, and vaulted ceilings, the clubs 19th-century library is a neoclassic jewel in a city of perpetual reinvention. We designed Phoenicia to be at home among the librarys fireplaces, philosophers busts, and leather chairs. Phoenicias handsome design features raised panel details and pedestal-style bases for the candlesticks. Finely pleated fabric shades add a softer touch, while reinforcing the pieces cubical motif.
